How to Book Self Storage in Luxembourg: A Practical Guide

Booking self-storage in Luxembourg should solve a space problem, not create another one. Whether you are moving, renovating, decluttering or storing business stock, the right unit depends on what you need to store, how often you need access and how long you expect to keep it.

StorageSpace offers units from 1 m² to 200 m² in Cloche d'Or, Luxembourg City. Booking is fully online, access is available 24/7 through the One Access app, and contracts are flexible and month-to-month.

1. Start with what you need to store

Make a simple inventory before comparing unit sizes. Count large items first, then estimate the number of boxes. Leave enough room to reach belongings you may need regularly instead of packing the unit wall to wall.

A 1–2 m² unit works well for boxes, seasonal items or sports equipment. Around 3–7 m² can suit the contents of a studio or small apartment. Larger units are useful for complete moves, renovations, archives or business inventory.

Use our Space Calculator for a quick estimate, or read the storage unit size guide for practical examples.

2. Choose a location you will actually use

A cheaper unit on the other side of the country can cost you more in time and transport. Think about how often you will visit and whether the facility is convenient from home, work or your moving route.

StorageSpace is at 11, rue Eugène Ruppert in Cloche d'Or. The central Luxembourg City location is easy to reach, and customers have free parking on level -1 for loading and unloading.

3. Check access and loading before you book

Access conditions matter as much as floor space. Ask whether opening hours fit your schedule, how you enter the building and whether heavy items can reach the unit easily.

At StorageSpace, customers have 24/7 keyless access through the One Access app. The facility has an elevator, a freight elevator and trolleys on site. Underground parking has a 2-metre height limit; taller vehicles can use the above-ground area.

4. Protect furniture, documents and electronics

Luxembourg's changing temperatures and humidity can damage wood, paper, textiles and electronics. A climate-controlled facility reduces that risk, especially during longer storage periods.

StorageSpace maintains approximately 20–21°C and 50% humidity. Every booking also includes insurance cover up to €2,500, subject to the policy terms. Learn more in our guide to climate-controlled storage in Luxembourg.

5. Compare the total monthly cost

Do not compare headline rent alone. Check for setup fees, deposits, insurance charges, access fees and long minimum terms.

StorageSpace prices are all-inclusive and start from €95 per month. There are no setup fees or hidden charges, and units under 19 m² require no deposit. Contracts renew monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice, so you are not locked into space you no longer need.

6. Book your unit online

Once you know the right size, choose an available unit and your move-in date online. Enter your contact and payment details, complete the secure Stripe payment and receive confirmation by email. Your app access is activated for the move-in date, so you can start storing the same day.
